My Top 3 Health Articles this Week - March 2nd

StartFragment

I do a lot of reading throughout the week so I thought you would save you a little bit of the hard work and share 3 articles I have found useful this week. I'll be covering training, nutrition, mindset, lifestyle and women's health in these posts and providing handy bullet points and summaries of the main points for you. I hope you go to bed a little wiser for reading on 🦉

Article 1 this week is a must read! Finding peace with your body now, a step-by-step guide to improve your push-ups and some helpful tips on getting to the route cause and in control of your cravings.

Grab a brew and enjoy 🙌

Article 1: How I Found Peace With My Body

"About six years ago, I was invited to a pool party with a bunch of my closest friends. Rather than feeling excitement, I was overcome with a sense of dread. Going to a pool party meant wearing a bikini, and I was so incredibly self-conscious that I didn’t go."

This is such a great article about accepting your body for what it is right now. Stay away from the scales, see all of yourself, not just the image in the mirror, take up a new hobby that makes you feel good and find your purpose in life - hint, your purpose is not to constantly battle for what you think is the ideal body!

Article 2: Push-up Tutorials

"With the technique and progressions I’ll show you below, you’ll build strength throughout your body while keeping your joints strong and stable."

Click the link for easy to follow progressions to a full strong push-up. Videos also included!

Article 3: Use Mindfulness to Kill Cravings

"Start by asking yourself ‘What does my body want and why?’ Snodgrass says. It might feel silly at first, but sitting with the craving for a while can lead to helpful insights about its origin."

Really think about what your body is asking for and if your need is genuine hunger or comfort related. If you are constantly craving chocolate specifically be sure to include magnesium rich foods in your diet, such as, avocado, nuts and leafy greens.
